Match report | Preview
Bury Town take an early exit out of this seasons FA Cup.

Lack of goal cost Bury again on Sunday as they fail at the first stage of the FA Cup. In a game Blues largely dominated it was in front of goal that was the major problem. With just 5 minutes gone Bury had their first opportunity to open the scoring. Joe Whight put his corner into Justin Miller who headed on to Remi Garrett, Garretts headed effort was cleared of the line by Romford’s George Cocklin. On 17 minutes Kye Ruel tried his luck from close range his deflected shot making Aaron Omand in the Romford goal scrambler across goal to collect the loose ball. It was a half of almosts from Bury, with a lot of over hit crosses and over hit passes. Bury limiting Romford to a couple of half chances but could not make the breakthrough.

Second half continued in the same manor. On 50 minutes Remi Garrett’s curling effort towards the far post was met by a diving save from Omand. On 61 minutes came the warning sign from Romford, Sam Kemps pin point pass found Romford captain Jamie Dicks who fired one at Marcus Garnham who had to put it over the bar. Romford took the lead on 62 minutes after another push forward from Kemp down the wing his pass found Dicks again, this time Dicks made no mistake and smashed it passed Garnham. Bury looked deflated but kept going trying to make something happen but with goals in short supply this season it was uphill for the remainder of the game as Romford tightened their ranks and took the win.
